Hiver

Hello!

I haven’t devoted much time to cross stitch this year for several reasons…
But I managed to finish this new piece. I hope you enjoy it!

It is a free design by Marjorie Massey called Hiver. She offers also the version in English – Winter.
Stitched on 40 count Milk Coffee Newcastle Zweigart linen with DMC floss number 924.

Since last year I wanted to make a project bag for my knitting and use some of my cross stitch pieces. So I decided to use this finish and made a small version of the drawstring bag. I have been collecting the materials and I finally made it!
Far for being perfect I’m really happy with the bag.

This is the Kato project bag a drawstring bag sewing tutorial by Kandoupatterns.
The pattern offers 3 sizes, I made the small one. Is a very easy sewing project for beginners. I made a mistake on the drawstring cords, I did cut the leather cord on the wrong place. I blame my husband… he told me a funny story, lots of laughs, I cut it in the wrong place, not a lot of laughs.. I just order a new cord and I will thread the drawsting cords through the channels very soon. It works well like this, but I prefer a large cord.

My new bag for a new pair of socks that I will cast on very soon.

The sewing pattern is wonderful, but if you prefer you can also watch Jess OklaRoots tutorial on youtube.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
Have a wonderful day!!

Bouquet Primitif, part one

Hello everyone,

I signed up last year for this stitch-a-long project, my first part is now stitched.

Design by Marjorie Massey – Project mystère “Primitif” – Bouquet Primitif.
Stitched on 40 count Parchment Newcastle linen by Sparklies with DMC floss.

This piece is not a mystery anymore, is gorgeous, some motifs take so long to stitch but is very pleasant to stitch. I also sign up for the new mystery stitch-a-long. I will make a blog post very soon with the first part.

My Quaker Street piece is from the same designer as Bouquet Primitif and became a piece of hatred and love for some people.
I already have to many years of blogs and social media to know how unfortunately some people behave.
So lets focus only on the love part of the story, since I don’t like drama and to be negative. Using my blog to write about this is very hard .

The design in question is not a out of print pattern.
Marjorie has a page on Facebook under the name “Creations Marjorie Massey“, you can find some of the mystery designs that she organized and some of her old designs that you can buy. She now sells her designs in PDF format, her email is on the Facebook page.

Please, if you have any questions about anything, please let me know via comments or even by email.

Since last September I have been replying to your comments direct on my blog comments section and not via email.

Have a great day!
Happy stitching,
