All Hallows Eve

Hello!

Since June, that I don’t have any update for the “Hallowe’en Ornie SAL 2017“.
I started a new project for the stitch-a-long, a Prairie Schooler design.

Let’s move for my monthly progress!
So for July theme (ghosts) I stitch four spooky ghosts:

Creepy Trees was the theme of August, my progress:

September theme was Spooky Words, I stitch the words “All Hallows Eve”:

The October theme is Pumpkins! And my pumpkin for this month:

Here is my finished piece:

Design by The Prairie Schooler – All Hallows Eve (Book 180).
Stitched on 40 count Oil Green linen by xjudesign.
With DMC floss (White and 921); Weeks Dye Works – Concord, and BarbaralCreations – Black Tulip.

I really had a great stitching time. I’m really happy how it turned out!

There are more pumpkins for this month! Also for the Halloween blog.
I stitched and fully finished the other design by Barbara Ana Designs, I just need to make some photos.

Thank you so much for your kind words on my last post!

January 2017 Smalls

Hello everyone,
Some small ornaments that I stitched this month.

For the Hallowe’en Ornie SAL 2017 my choice is this cute design of a half moon, since the month theme is “The Moon”.
I replaced one colour to give more contrast with the fabric.

Design by Primitive Acorns – Lunar Spells.
Stitched on 40 count Thieffry linen Bleu Ciel with DMC floss (310 and 3046).

Last year I had no time to stitch the December ornament for the “Christmas Ornie SAL 2016” and is one of my favourites themes – “Angels”.
So my choice is this 2014 freebie from C Mon Monde blog. The frebbie is not available anymore, but maybe you can contact the designer.

Design by C Mon Monde – Michele Angelot.
Stitched on 40 count Vintage Country Mocha linen with DMC floss.

The Christmas ornament SAL for this year have two themes. My choice is doing some ornaments for the theme number 2, a variety of themes during the year.
The January month theme is “Christmas Tree”.
I spend some time reading and select some ornaments from the back issues of Christmas Ornaments Collection from Just Cross Stitch. I order the DVD weeks before we decided to buy a house on May 2015.

The DVD is really nice if you don’t have the old issues. So I found this design on the 1999 issue and I just love the cat and the tree. The cat is stitching 1 over 1.

Design by Chessie & Me – Chessie’s Tree ( JCS 1999 Christmas Issue).
Stitched on 28ct Lambswool linen from Permin of Copenhagen with DMC floss and beads.

The last stitching piece for this month is a new design for Teresa Murgida of Primitive Acorns. She asked me for stitch this piece and this is the result.
She already release this new design, you can check on her Etsy shop, here.

Design by Primitive Acorns – The Lady and the Dogs.
Stitched on 35 count Flax linen with DMC floss.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

See you soon for some Valentine’s Day stitching!
Happy stitching,
