Peace in 2017 and Ribbons Ornament

Hi everyone!

An update on my Christmas ornaments for the “Christmas Ornie SAL 2017”.

For July, theme birds/animals, I stitch a lovely dove:

Design by Knotted Tree NeelleArt – Peace in 2008 (now is Peace in 2017).
The pattern is from the Just Cross Stitch Magazine Special Christmas Issue 2008.

Stitched on 40 count linen hand dyed by me with DMC floss.

For August, blingy ornament theme, I stitch this piece:

Design by Thistle Threads – Ribbons Ornament.
The pattern is from the Just Cross Stitch Magazine Special Christmas Issue 2012.

Stitched on 40 count Vintage Country Mocha Linen with DMC floss.

I’m very happy with this two ornaments! My favourite so far is the Peace ornament!

Thank you so much for the kind words on my last post!
Thanks for visiting today! See you soon!
Happy stitching,

  1. They are both beautiful. The finishing is perfection! I love the hand dyed linen you made. It is lovely.

  2. Lili, I love both of your new ornaments. They are both stitched perfectly. I especially love the Peace one because of the sweet bird. You do such a wonderful job in dyeing the fabrics perfectly. Both of these make such a wonderful and lovely addition to your collection of ornaments. RJ @stitchingfriendsforever

  3. Both ornaments are so pretty, but the dove ornament is especially so, Lili!! I love the fabric that you dyed for it and the pretty bell–well done 🙂

    Enjoy your weekend–and HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

  4. Two great ornaments. I love having all the JCS magazines to choose from! Such a wide variety of styles.

  5. Lili, I’m so impressed with your fabric dying. The dove is my favorite as I’m such a bird love and this is so pretty, I need to get my hands on some of those Cross stitch magazines. They are both so nicely displayed in your basket too. Mary
